Status of compliance

Funklog is intended to be easy to use for everyone. The interface was designed according to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 level AA and is largely compliant:

• fully operable by keyboard, visible focus, “Skip to content” link
• all input fields are labelled, errors are announced and linked to the field
• sufficient contrast in light and dark mode, display follows the system setting
• zoom up to 200 % and narrow screens without loss of information
• status messages are announced to screen readers via live regions
• reduced motion is respected
• the gallery's large view can be operated by keyboard (arrow keys, Esc) and swipe; photos use their caption as text alternative
• notices such as mute, lock or storage warnings are shown as text, not only by colour
• the chat is marked up as a live region (new messages are announced) and fully keyboard operable; the recipient search follows the “combobox” pattern (arrow keys, Enter, Esc)
• the member map has an equivalent list by locator field as text alternative

Known limitations

• The print view of the QSL cards is a graphic design for paper; the data it contains is available accessibly in the logbook itself.
• Card motifs uploaded by users have no text alternative because they are purely decorative. Gallery photos without a caption only receive a generic description (album and number).
• Content written by members (forum, ads, profiles) is not translated.
• Linked external offerings (e.g. online logbooks) are outside our sphere of influence.

If you do not receive a satisfactory answer to your feedback, you can contact the market surveillance authority of the German federal states for the accessibility of products and services (MLBF) in Magdeburg.
